Summer in Texas is like melting inside your car with the AC on, meaning sunscreen is extra important during this time (all year!). I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try the Meta Foret 12PM calming sunscreen. I am not a fan of sunscreen, I know the horror, but is true. I think is because of the bad memories of me having a super sticky, white-casted face.
Is important to point that this sun cream is a physical and chemically blended one. What does it mean? Physical part won’t be sticky or leave a white cast, the chemical part will protect UVA UVB throughout all seasons. It contains 4 key ingredients: Cypress, Phytoncide, Aloe Vera and Centella Asiatica. You can find phytoncide in cypress which is antibacterial and helps keep skin healthy. Aloe Vera is a great soothing agent and Centella Asiatica helps lock in moisture, protect from irritation, and help with stubborn acne. I am so surprised that I love this sunscreen. It doesn’t have any fragrance, light texture, no white-cast and is not oily. I find myself using it with or without makeup. Usually, I wait a few minutes for my skincare to set and then I apply the sun cream, this sets fast and leaves my skin feeling more hydrated. The fact that is doesn’t have a sticky or oily finish is a plus, best of all my irritated skin is less red, I feel more hydration during the day and less oil production. Overall, I give it 4/5, love the hydration, no white-cast, no extra oiliness, just my skin getting healthier. You can purchase it at Meta Foret for $12.60.
